WFSAD's Activities: Educate
WFSAD is the only worldwide grassroots education, support and advocacy organization focusing on families of people with schizophrenia and allied disorders.
Educate: Providing information about the illness, its treatment and prognosis. Training families and creating a roadmap for caregivers. Providing hope for recovery.
Our library of Books, Articles and Information Papers answer the many questions that family caregivers are asking, and our new international training, Reason to Hope, provides families with comprehensive information about mental illness, skills for caring for their relative and tools for self-care. Our Conferences and Symposiums promote research and treatment solutions, and inspire innovation and collaboration between families, mental health practitioners and community leaders. WFSAD’s role is knowledge sharing.
